Domes Privacy Policy

Aelven, Inc. (“Aelven,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) makes Domes, an AI-powered living model of users’ worlds. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information through the domes.ai website, any Domes demo available there, any Domi Card pages, and the Domes waitlist (together, the “Site”). It does not cover the Domes app, which will have its own terms and privacy notice.

1. Notice at Collection. This section summarizes the personal information we collect through the Site, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.

We keep each category for the period shown unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer. Section 3 describes all of the purposes for which we use personal information. We do not ask for sensitive personal information; please do not include it in anything you send us or enter into a demo. You can opt out of sharing through the “Your Privacy Choices” link on the Site.

2. Information We Collect. We collect the information you give us, such as your email address, your confirmation that you are at least 18 and live in the United States, your answers to our optional survey, the Domi Card you claim, anything you enter into a demo, and anything else you send us. Our survey is optional, and you may skip any question. If you claim a Domi Card, we save the card assigned to you with your email address and create a unique web page for it that anyone with its link can view (a “Card Link”), as described in Section 6. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers also collect information about your browser and device and how you use the Site, using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5). Service providers that help us run the Site, such as our website, survey, and email platforms, may also give us information about Site performance and email delivery.

3. How We Use Information. We use personal information to:

• run the waitlist, any demo, and Domi Cards, including confirming eligibility, assigning and saving Domi Cards, hosting Card Links, and deciding whom to invite and when, which may take into account your survey answers (for example, the devices you own);
• email you about your place on the waitlist, invitations, optional surveys, your Domi Card, and Domes, and about other Aelven products and programs;
• understand interest in Domes and conduct product research, including through our optional survey, and develop and improve Domes and our other products and services, including new ones, our algorithms, our marketing, and your experience, and train and evaluate artificial intelligence models using demo inputs and other information you send us;
• conduct internal research for technological development and demonstration;
• operate, secure, and analyze the Site and prevent fraud and abuse;
• measure our advertising and show you advertising tailored to your interests, including on other websites and apps (see Section 5);
• comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms; and
• fulfill any other purpose we describe when we collect the information, or with your consent.

We may also create aggregated or de-identified information and use it for any purpose. We will maintain and use de-identified information only in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it, except as the law permits.

4. How We Disclose Information. We disclose personal information:

• to service providers that help us run the Site and the waitlist, such as website hosting, data storage, email and communication, survey tools, analytics providers, and artificial intelligence model providers that process demo inputs to generate outputs, under contracts that limit their use of it;
• to advertising partners, as described in Section 5;
• publicly, through the Card Link for any Domi Card you claim, which anyone who has the link can view (see Section 6);
• to Aelven’s affiliates, for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy;
• when we believe it is required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aelven, our users, or others;
• in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business; and
• with your consent or at your direction.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising. We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons and pixels, to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. We also permit third parties and service providers to use these technologies on the Site for analytics and advertising, including to show you Domes ads tailored to your interests on other websites and apps, and we may give advertising platforms a hashed version of your email address for the same purposes. Some state laws treat this as “selling” or “sharing” personal information or as “targeted advertising.” These third parties may collect information directly from your browser or device when you use the Site, and their use of it is governed by their own privacy policies. You can opt out through the “Your Privacy Choices” link on the Site, and we will treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

6. Your Choices and Rights.

Emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them.

Leaving the waitlist. You can ask us to remove you from the waitlist and delete your information by emailing hello@aelven.ai. We may keep information where the law requires or permits, and deletion may not reach information already incorporated into aggregated or de-identified data or into trained artificial intelligence models.

Domi Cards. Your Card Link is public: anyone who has it can view your Domi Card, and search engines may index it. Your email address is not displayed on your Card Link. If you download your Domi Card, or share it or its Card Link on social media or elsewhere, the platforms you use, and anyone who sees it there, may collect, use, and share it under their own terms and privacy policies, and we cannot remove copies that others have made. You can ask us to deactivate your Card Link by emailing hello@aelven.ai.

U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know whether we process your personal information and to access, correct, or delete it; to obtain a copy of it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email hello@aelven.ai. We will verify your request by confirming that you control the email address you used, and we may ask for more information if needed. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of authorization. If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing hello@aelven.ai, and if your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to your state attorney general.

California disclosures. In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information listed in Section 1 from you, your browser or device, and our service providers, for the purposes described in Section 3, and disclosed them to the categories of recipients described in Section 4. In that period, we have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising, although we may share identifiers and internet activity for targeted advertising in the future, as described in Section 5. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give you a right to limit it, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

7. Security. We have implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, but no transmission over the internet or storage technology can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from, or market to, anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you believe we have, please contact us.

9. Location. We are based in the United States and process personal information there. The Site, the waitlist, and Domi Cards are intended only for people in the United States, and you must live in the United States to join the waitlist, use a demo, or claim a Domi Card. If we learn that someone who does not live in the United States has joined the waitlist or claimed a Domi Card, we may remove their entry or Domi Card and delete their information. If you visit the Site from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States.

10. Changes. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on the Site and change the “Last updated” date, and if we make material changes, we will also notify you by posting a notice on the Site or by email, and we will obtain your consent where the law requires it.
